David Mowery

David Mowery is the founder and president of Mowery Consulting Group, LLC. He attended the University of Georgia, earning a degree in journalism from the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication in 1999.

David has worked at a Top-5 public relations firm in its Washington, D.C. office. While there, he helped manage a successful nationwide awareness campaign for a major healthcare group.

Trained in the art and science of fundraising by a premier Democratic firm, David has helped candidates across the country raise their “A” Budgets – including raising nearly $5,000,000 in Alabama since 2004.

David has a record of unparalleled recent success. In 2008, he managed the successful Congressional campaign of then-Montgomery Mayor Bobby Bright in an R+13 district that had not had a Democratic representative since 1964. This was the second most Republican performing District in the country to elect a Democrat.

He followed that success by managing County Commission Chairman Todd Strange’s campaign for Mayor of Montgomery – besting a six-person field without a runoff!

The diversity of those two campaigns demonstrates David’s ability to marshal all the resources available and push your campaign over the line.

David and his wife live in Montgomery, AL and had their first child, Matthew on Aug 3, 2009. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club, the Young Leadership Council of the Capital City Club, and Emerge Montgomery. His family attends First United Methodist Church.

David’s interests include history, politics and current events, music and sports – especially the fortunes of his beloved University of Georgia Bulldogs.
